The Almere Afval app is a useful tool for residents of the municipality of Almere, providing essential information regarding waste management. Within the app, users can easily find out which bins need to be placed on the curb for collection on specific days. Additionally, the app offers a reminder feature to help residents stay on schedule.

After entering your postcode and house number just once, the app retrieves personalized data for your address and displays it in the waste calendar. Users can also opt to receive notifications either the evening before or on the morning of collection day, indicating which bin to set out. This can be configured in the Settings section.

To use the app, you will need to enter your postcode and house number. You may also choose to receive notifications from the municipality through the app. Rest assured, your information will only be utilized for this purpose based on your consent.

Your Location:
The app utilizes your phone's GPS functionality to determine your location, thereby allowing you to find the nearest bin locations. This data processing occurs locally on your device, ensuring that the municipality cannot track your whereabouts.

The municipality cannot view, collect, alter, or delete any private data from your phone; such actions are technically impossible. Furthermore, the app is unable to transmit any data to third parties.
